On Our Way to the Green

After lining up in the gym, our Class Marshals marched us out towards the Green. With camera in hand, I captured the moment from above.

Graduate Self Portrait

So I lied, kind of. When I said that yesterday's post would be the last pictures from the graduation weekend, I meant only the photos from my D40. During Commencement Exercises, I carried my Olympus SW790 Waterproof camera (in case it rained) and look a few shots.

Knowing how to take a good self portrait no viewfinder style is very important. I'm getting pretty good, if I do say so myself.

Guest Photographer - Matt Chingos 2

This is the last post of photos from my graduation weekend (and probably some of the last photos from Hanover for a little while). I thought it only appropriate to feature the talents of another photographer.

My brother traveled in from New York for my graduation. After his first and very successful No Viewfinder shoot in Boston, he couldn't keep his hands off my camera. While walking around and entertaining the parents, Matt snapped many shots. Here are the highlights.

Once again, a job well done, Matt!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day, Dad! This post is for you. You got caught in my lens during the post-Baccalaureate No Viewfinder shoot. You look very deep in thought. And Pop, I had a decent shot of you which is why you got posted as well. As always, looking good.

Railing Up

It's the varying depth of field which makes me really like this image.

(I Get By) With A Little Help

from my Friends and Photoshop. Most of my pictures only require a little tweaking in Photoshop to correct color, lighting and exposure. Though sometimes I get a shot that is framed beautifully yet it looks completely unusable. With a little work, however, most pictures can be salvaged. Here's a good before and after example of my brother and me.

There's A Ghost in the Attic

I was snapping some shots in the chapel before the Baccalaureate service and this woman jumped in the way. She definitely didn't look this scary in real life.

The Leaves Are Alive

The tonality of this photo some how gives the leaves a multi-dimensional look, especially towards the bottom. It doesn't look real. I love it!

Put Your Hands Up

...for the Ten Commandments! They haven't quite released this remix yet, but I know it's coming and it's going to be huge.

This is the first of many pictures from my graduation weekend (I graduated this past Sunday). This photo was taken before the Baccalaureate service on the Saturday before Commencement.

Endless Hallway

I had the pleasure of working for Tip Top Pottery, a paint your own pottery studio, located in the Tip Top Building, an old bread factory transformed into a place for artists and the like. It's such a colorful place and so full of energy and life. This is the last "No Viewfinder" shot from the Tip Top Building. I hope you've enjoyed the collection.
