The tonality of this photo some how gives the leaves a multi-dimensional look, especially towards the bottom. It doesn't look real. I love it!

Endless Hallway

I had the pleasure of working for Tip Top Pottery, a paint your own pottery studio, located in the Tip Top Building, an old bread factory transformed into a place for artists and the like. It's such a colorful place and so full of energy and life. This is the last "No Viewfinder" shot from the Tip Top Building. I hope you've enjoyed the collection.

Blurring Together

I try not to think of time as passing slowly or quickly, but rather just passing. The best moments of our lives are always moving much faster than we'd like, slipping out from under us as we exist in them, and no matter how hard we try to hold on to them, they will eventually pass. Regardless of this simple truth, I always dig my finger nails in hopes to slow those days of awesomeness. Even if I can't freeze moments and live in them forever, I make sure that I take little pieces of them with me.

Having just graduated, I've been told many times, "I can't believe you're graduating, it seems like yesterday that you were moving in and starting your freshman year." In some ways, I can understand this sentiment and think, "Holy shit, where the hell did four years go?" But then I think back to all of the thinks I did, people I met, opportunities I missed, moments I seized. I remember the days that were the best of my life and those I wouldn't have minded staying in bed. This short journey, which I find healthy to take often, makes me think that these were not four quick years, but rather quite the opposite.

College has been a trip. There has been so much that it does blur together a bit (there were weeks when I definitely felt like this photo). But when looking over the whole experience, I realize that they were four long years packed with the good and the bad and constant reminders that I am alive and present.

Texture

I love pictures of texture where you can't tell exactly what you're looking at. For example, this photo could easily be of a shoreline or concrete. In this case, it's part of an art exhibit (imaginably exploring the concept of texture) that quickly catches the eye and offers an easy target for my blind lens.

Dick's Flowers

Flowers are so easy to photograph and they offer such pleasing results. Before getting serious on a flower bed in front of my college's infirmary, I snapped this shot blind. The established depth of field is really nice.

Sun Through the Trees

Our eyes don't like looking directly into the sun. Fortunately, camera lenses can handle the heat. Whether underwater or outside, I always love pointing the camera up and taking a few clicks. This is a rather nice very shot of some spring foliage in Hanover.

Bunnies and Puppies

OK, well just puppies. Dogs are such nice pets. They offer companionship, a cuddle buddy and a playmate all in one. Unfortunately, they require an awful lot of time, attention and money. Plus, going away on vacations can be rather difficult if you have a four-legged one scampering around at home.

Here's an interesting view of this dog who was looking more for food than company.
